About the topic
Did you know that choice is so important for enhancing residents’ wellbeing, good health and improved quality of life? Having choice is a human right and forms a major part of the new The Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, which will commence from 1 July 2025.
Residents should always be treated with dignity and respect, making informed choices about care and services and living the life they choose. Discover the importance of making choices on food, drink and dining experiences; resident feedback; cultural and religious choices and dignity of risk.
