About the event
Gain the skills and knowledge to recognize, prevent and alleviate hazards associated with food handling. As well as the ability and authority to supervise other people handling food at your premises and ensure that it is always done safely.
What is a food safety supervisor?
A food safety supervisor is someone who:
- is trained to determine and prevent food handling risks at your premises.
- has the knowledge, capability and authority to supervise other workers to ensure safe food handling
- has a Statement of Attainment meaning they are capable and qualified to fulfill required food safety competencies
All Class 1 and most Class 2 premises must have a food safety supervisor. This is a requirement under s. 19C of the Food Act 1984.

This is a nationally accredited food safety course through our RTO
